Summer is on....

SUMMER.... I have waited for you from the time the snow refused to melt! I have dreamt about the beaches and all the outings that we could have.... so here I am in the middle of a roller coaster summer. We kicked off the summer on a grand note.... our dream vacation to Florida and Bahamas. Our first long vacation post wedding (yes please note that, took us over 2 years to get going!) It was a trip which will be etched in our memories forever!! Ritisha's first trip to Mickey's home and she celebrated her first birthday on the Carribean waters, though pictures are all she will have as her memory. After the long hectic vacation things have slowed down.... we needed a month's rest and relaxation (yes we are growing old). The frequent trips to the malls, shopping, eating have kept us on our toes every weekend. I guess I need a little break once again to rejuvenate the soul.... but the big question that haunts us is where will we head for a quick weekend gateway, till that question is answered I guess I will be stuck at home writing blogs at 6am!!

Undoubtedly we made the national headlines for recording the hottest summer ever!! I have never been exposed to this sort of heat where the air conditioner takes two hours to cool the small drawing room area that we have!! Its bliss to stay at home rather than venturing out (can't believe I am saying that in the mid summer!) Though I hope once things get a little cooler we can make another short trip here and there. Ritisha has started walking so would love to take her to some beautiful place and let her do all the walking and running. Though D is always holding on her hands... should his princess fall and scratch her knees. But its just a matter of time when he will have to let go.... falling and rising part of life, be it our first steps or in the journey of life.

We have added a new food freak in our gang.... my little angel. She loves to eat whatever I cook, and yes she loves it more than Gerber! I have tried out quite a few new recipes this summer and they all have been a success .... so the process of acquiring culinary skill is still on, like the endless ocean, at times I enjoy cooking up new dishes. Cooked up an authentic Mexican dinner last night, pretty content with it as I do not have to run to a restaurant when I am craving for Mexican food!!

As the last long weekend of summer is slowly approaching.... time to make the most of your time. I intend to do just that.... wearing all the summer dresses, will be heart breaking when the hoodie/jacket season starts :( And another beach trip before the summer ends!

As the summer fun continues, I will keep you posted about the happenings of this season!!
